NAMPA, Idaho - Western Washington University scored single goals in each half in defeating the Crusaders 2-0 on Thursday afternoon in a GNAC match at the NNU Soccer Field.

WWU's Emily Frankland scored the game-winner in the 14th minute off an assist from Katie Griffith.  The Vikings (3-2-2, 2-1-0 GNAC) added the insurance goal in the 47th-minute off the foot of Brina Sych on a corner kick.

Shutout for just the second time this season, the Crusaders (3-4-0, 1-2-0 GNAC) were outshot 12-5 and felt a 7-3 deficit in corner kicks.

Tanya Zickefoose made five saves for the Crusaders, who will return to action on Saturday, hosting Simon Fraser University in a GNAC counter at Noon.
