LACEY, Wash. - Autumn Yturbe scored twice to lead the Northwest Nazarene women's soccer team to a 2-0 road victory this afternoon at Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Washington.

Yturbe found the goal in both halves, first in the 40th-minute when she dribbled in from the top of the box to beat SMU goalkeeper Gina Cardenas, and then again in the 64th-minute, beating a Saint defender and pulling Cardenas out for the scoring strike.

"Leading 1-0 at the half, I thought we came out in the second and took care of the ball and played a much prettier second half," commented NNU head coach Jamie Lindvall.  "I'm proud of our girls for working together and responding well after our game on Thursday."

Yturbe now leads the GNAC with six goals and has tallied 13 total points.

Crusader goalkeeper Tanya Zickefoose hustled for seven saves, while Cardenas had four and Ashley Engel came in for SMU to grab one.

SMU finished with an 11-10 edge in shots and a 10-4 advantage in corner kicks.

NNU (3-3-0, 1-1-0 GNAC) will return to action next Thursday, hosting Western Washington University at 3:00 p.m. at the NNU Soccer Field.
