WAIPAHU, Hawaii - Scoring 13 runs on 15 hits, the Northwest Nazarene University baseball team defeated Hawaii Pacific 13-7 in the sixth and final game between the Crusaders and Sea Warriors at Hans L'Orange Park in Waipahu.
The Crusaders took five of six games from HPU (2-8) in the series and will return to Idaho having improved to 11-1 overall after starting the season with seven-straight victories.
Only four of the Crusaders 13 runs were earned, taking advantage of 10 HPU errors.
J.T. Brodrick (4-0) earned the win, surrendering eight hits and two runs while striking out three.
Michael Green (0-2) took the loss, giving up 10 runs in the first four and one-third, however only one run was earned.
Troy Ajer led HPU, going 4 for 5 with three RBI. Jordan Oshiro, Lester Akeo, and Blake Amaral each had two hits.
The Crusaders will return to the diamond on March 4th and 5th, hosting Saint Martin's University in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference opening series for both teams.
