Crusaders win 10-5 in Hawaii

WAIPAHU, Hawaii - The Northwest Nazarene baseball team defeated Hawaii Pacific University 10-5 on Friday afternoon in an NCAA Division II West Region game at Hans L' Orange Park.

The Crusaders, now 10-1 on the season, were led at the plate by Logan Parker, Sean McDonald, and Ryan VanBeek.  Parker finished the contest 4 for 4 and both McDonald and VanBeek were 3 for 5.

Kalen Hruza earns the win in relief of Crusader starter Patrick Patterson and McDonald moved from centerfield to earn the save, working the final three innings.

The Crusaders and Sea Warriors will complete the six-game series on Saturday afternoon with a single game.
