FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Kaitlyn Tuholski recorded her fifth triple-double of the season to lead the Northwest Nazarene volleyball team to a 21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-19 victory over the University of Alaska Fairbanks in a GNAC match at the Patty Center on Saturday afternoon.

Tuholski finished with 10 kills, 22 assists and 11 digs as the Crusaders improved to 16-7 overall and 11-5 in GNAC play.  Ranked 7th in the West Region, NNU split a pair of GNAC matches this weekend in Alaska.

"Anytime you can split in Alaska you feel good about it," commented NNU head coach Jared Sliger.  "Fairbanks is a lot better than their record indicates.  We had to elevate our level of play to be successful today."

Michelle Terpstra and Haley Abbott also reached double-figures with 12 and 11 kills, respectively, and Terpstra added 21 assists and eight digs, nearly posting another triple-double of her own.

Karlee Skalla paced the Nanooks (2-22, 2-14 GNAC) with a match-high 15 kills and had 16 digs while Simone Chavous and Casey Tidwell each had 11 kills.

The Crusaders will return home and host Simon Fraser and Western Washington next week in the final week of the regular season.
