NAMPA, Idaho - The Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team defeated The University of Alaska Anchorage 25-19, 25-13, 18-25, 29-27 on Saturday night at the Johnson Sports Center, handing the first-place Seawolves just their second conference loss of the season.

Freshman Kaitlyn Tuholski recorded her second triple-double performance of the season to lead the Crusaders (6-3 GNAC, 9-5) with 14 kills, 13 digs and 22 assists.  Haley Abbott matched Tuholski with a team-high 14 kills while Carly Dranginis finished with 13 and Reisa Fessler added 10.  Abbott led the NNU blocking effort with eight total, including two solo.

"After Thursday's one-player display, we knew it was going to take a balanced attack tonight," commented NNU head coach Jared Sliger.  "Credit our setters for moving the ball around.  It was great to see how much fun they were having...both playing with and playing for each other."

Michelle Terpstra led the Crusaders with 30 assists and partnered with Tuholski in spreading the ball around as four Crusaders reached double-figures.

"At the end of game four I couldn't have been happier to see my senior libero (Kailey Trautmann) stepping back to serve us back into the match," Sliger noted.

Trautmann started her serving run with the Crusaders trailing at set point 23-24 and delivered three-straight points, setting the table for the Crusaders to complete the upset with a service error from UAA's Siobhan Johansen at 27-27 and an ace from Fessler to end the match.

UAA's (7-2 GNAC, 11-6) Jackie Matthisen and Nikkie Viotto each recorded double-doubles with Matthisen posting a match-high 18 kills with 16 digs and Viotto finishing with 10 kills and match-best 18 digs.  Kimya Jafroudi handed out a match-high 51 assists and Robyn Burton added 15 kills while hitting .542 in the match.
