NAMPA, Idaho - Western Oregon defeated Northwest Nazarene 25-19, 26-24, 25-17 on Thursday night, ending the Crusaders seven-match winning streak in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match at the Johnson Sports Center.

The Wolves (10-8, 9-5 GNAC) provided the bookends around the Crusaders season-high streak, having defeated the Crusaders in Monmouth, Ore., on October 1st and then again tonight in Nampa.  NNU was able to win five-straight GNAC matches, including an upset of top-ranked Seattle Pacific, and two non-conference matches in the space between facing the Wolves.

The Crusaders (14-6, 9-4 GNAC), ranked seventh in this week's inaugural NCAA West Region Volleyball Poll, were held to a -.009 hitting percentage and were out-blocked 12 to 5 against the Wolves.

Krissi Kemper led the WOU offense with a match-high nine kills and both Corynn Kopra and Becky Blees each had eight.  LesLyne Satele led all setters with 34 assists and Samantha Ward led the defensive effort with 16 digs.

Reisa Fessler led NNU with seven kills as the Crusaders finished with 26 total kills but had 27 attack errors.  Kaitlyn Tuholski posted the only double-double of the night with 11 assists and 11 digs.

NNU will look to start a new streak on Saturday night when they host Saint Martin's University at 7:00 p.m.
