NAMPA - The Western Oregon University women's soccer team scored twice within five minutes on Saturday afternoon in route to a 2-0 GNAC victory over the Crusaders at the NNU Soccer Field.

The Wolves (5-5-3, 4-3-2 GNAC) Laura Vieira and LaChante Horton scored in the 23rd and 27th minutes, respectively, to give WOU all the scoring they would need.  Both goals were unassisted as Vieira found the net from 30-yards and Horton finished from five-yards away.

The Crusaders (4-9-0, 2-7-0 GNAC) were outshot overall by two at 9-7 but led the shots on goal at 6 to 5.  Each team had one corner kick opportunity.

"It was definitely disappointing to not find the back of the net today," commented NNU head coach Jamie Lindvall.  "That being said, I was proud of our work rate and commitment to each other on the field today.  Our job now is to stay committed and get ready for SFU on the road on Thursday."

WOU's Brittney Rigtrup stopped all six NNU shots on goal and NNU's Monique Ray had three saves, surrendering both goals.
