SEATTLE - Freshman Kaitlyn Tuholski and Michelle Terpstra each posted triple-double performances as the Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team upset 19th-ranked Seattle Pacific University in five sets on Thursday night in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match in Seattle.

Tuholski finished with 14 kills, 24 assists and 10 digs, while Terpstra had 11 kills, 23 assists and 13 digs to lead the Crusaders (10-5, 7-3 GNAC) to the 17-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-12 victory.  It marks the third triple-double this season for Tuholski and second of the year for Terpstra.

"We played well when it mattered most tonight," commented NNU head coach Jared Sliger.  "The freshman (Tuholski and Terpstra) were really good and we just played well as a team.  It was a fun match to coach...everyone stepped up at different times when we needed them."

Tied at two sets each, the Crusaders out-hit the Falcons .304 to .208 in the deciding fifth set, committing only two hitting errors against nine kills in the finale.

SPU (13-5, 7-2 GNAC) was led by Lindsey Wodrich with a match-high 20 kills and Paige Hoffman finished with 14.  Shelby Swanson had a match-best 57 assists and Anna Herold matched NNU's Kailey Trautmann with 25 digs.

The Crusaders be back in action on Saturday night at MSU Billings in a GNAC counter.
