FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Parrish West continued his historic run scoring 31 points and Mason King had a breakout game with 17 points to lead Alaska Fairbanks to a 84-79 win over Northwest Nazarene at The Patty Center.

West had 17 second-half points as he extended his GNAC record string of 30-point games to six, breaking that barrier for the 10th time this season and the 11th time in his career.

Meanwhile, King, who had scored only 61 points in 33 previous career appearances, hit all three of his three-point attempts in the second half and finished with a career-high 17 points.

King, who is shooting 62.5 percent from the three-point line this season (10 of 16), made six of eight shots, including four of six treys.

One of those came with 11:48 remaining and gave UAF its biggest lead of the day at 64-50 after it led by just one (41-40) at halftime. The Nanooks started the second half with an 8-0 run - four by West - to build much of that lead.

The Crusaders, however, came back to make it interesting. Two foul shots by Jaime Eisinger cut the gap to three points at 80-77 with 1:51 remaining.

Then a minute later, Drew Eisinger had a chance to tie the game at 80-80, but missed a trey from the top of the key.

The teams then traded free throws before Jarrett Miller made one of two to give UAF a four-point lead with 17 seconds left. Miller's miss was his first since early in the opening half of the Nanooks' season opener in November, snapping a string of 32 in a row.

Down by four, Drew Eisinger threw up a quick three, but missed and then West hit one of two free throws earning his 31st point of the night to establish the final five-point margin.

In addition to West and King, the Nanooks got 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds from Brett Barkman. West also led his team with five assists and Nico Matthews had four steals.

Brian Barkdoll led five players in double figures for NNU with 17 points, while Darious Walker added 15. Drew Eisinger had a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Also in double figures were Anthony Golden with 12 points and Paul Egwuonwu with 11. Egwuonwu also had six assists. Barkdoll had eight rebounds.
