FAIRBANKS, Alaska - 
Louie Beech scored a game-high 23 points, but it wasn't  quite enough as the Northwest Nazarene men's basketball team fell 77-75 on  Saturday afternoon against the University of Alaska Fairbanks at the Patty  Center on the UAF campus.
 
 
The final game of the season for both teams, the Crusaders finish the year  15-12 overall and 7-9 in league play, while the Nanooks end the season 9-16  overall and 4-12 in GNAC play.  UAF doubled their conference win total this  week, having shocked first-place Seattle Pacific 113-105 in overtime on Thursday  night.
 
Brian Barkdoll scored 11 points and 
Kendall Gielow added 10 to join Beech  in double-figures.  Gielow and Beech also led the Crusaders on the glass with  eight rebounds apiece.
 
 
Nashorn Maynard led UAF with 20 points and Emmanuel Jenkins added 18.  Joe  Powell led the Nanook effort on the glass with seven points and a game-high 12  rebounds.  UAF out-rebounded NNU 48-41.
 
NNU shot only 36.9-percent (24-65) from the field and committed 16  turnovers in the road loss.
