ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Four Crusaders reached double-figures as the regionally-ranked Crusaders from Northwest Nazarene University defeated Central Washington University 79-58 on Thursday night in GNAC women's basketball action in Ellensburg.

 

Brittney Roggenkamp and Lindsay Brady each scored 12 to lead the NCAA West Region fifth-ranked Crusaders (16-6, 6-5 GNAC), while Kristin Hein and Janee Olds each added 11.  Hein also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds to post the only double-double effort for NNU.

 

Sara Bergner led the Wildcats (6-16, 3-9 GNAC) with 15, while Stacy Albrecht added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds and Sophie Russell scored 10.

 

NNU forced 26 Wildcat turnovers and finished with an even assist-to-turnover ratio with 14 of each, led by Jennifer Williams with four.

 

The Crusaders will now travel to Montana State University Billings for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Saturday night against the Yellowjackets.
