ANCHORAGE - The Northwest Nazarene volleyball team fell 25-23, 21-25, 25-14, 25-22 at Alaska Anchorage on Saturday night in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match against the Seawolves at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex on the UAA campus.
Robyn Burton had a 16 kill, 10 block double-double to lead Alaska Anchorage (11-6, 6-3 GNAC).
The Seawolves were also led by Cortney Lundberg and Jackie Matthisen with 12 kills each and McKenzie Moss with nine kills, four blocks and a team-best 19 digs.
Three players had eight kills each for Northwest Nazarene (5-10, 5-5) including Haley Abbott, Carly Dranginis and Becky Flores. Abbott and Reisa Fessler each had five blocks.
UAA outhit the Crusaders .238 to .129, including .517 to .121 in the third set, which was the only one decided by more than four points.
The Crusaders will return to Nampa and host league-leading Seattle Pacific on Thursday and Montana State Billings one week from tonight.
