Wolves slide past Crusaders 3-1

MONMOUTH, Ore. - Carly Dranginis finished with a match-high 13 kills but it wasn't enough as Western Oregon defeated the Crusaders in four sets on Thursday night in Monmouth, Oregon.
 
Dranginis led the NNU offense and Haley Hevern paced the defense with a match-best 30 digs, however the Crusaders hit just .086 opposite the Wolves .203 hitting percentage.  NNU falls to 5-15 overall and 5-9 in conference action with the 16-25, 29-27, 21-25, 15-25 loss.
 
Western Oregon (11-8, 9-5 GNAC) was led by a trio of players in double-figures as Stephanie Beeler, Danielle Reese, and Corynn Kopra finished with 12, 11, and 10 kills, respectively.  Megan Triggs led the Wolves defense with 17 digs and Krissi Kemper added eight kills and five blocks.
 
Becky Flores posted a double-double for the Crusaders with 10 kills and 11 digs. 
 
The Crusaders will travel north to Lacey, Washington for a Saturday night GNAC counter against Saint Martin's University.
