NAMPA, Idaho - Despite a 'Red Sea' of fans supporting the Crusaders, the Northwest Nazarene volleyball team fell 19-25, 17-25, 22-25 to 17th-ranked Seattle Pacific on Thursday night in a GNAC match at the Johnson Sports Center.
Sarah Risser led the Falcons with 16 kills as SPU rebounded from their only loss of the season last Saturday to improve to 17-1 overall and 9-1 in conference play. The Crusaders, led by 10 kills from
Becky Flores, fell to 5-11 overall and 5-6 in league matches.
The Crusaders got a match-high 16 digs from Haley Hevern and three blocks from
Reisa Fessler. Fessler joined
Haley Abbott with six kills and Kailey Trautman added five kills and 14 digs.
Risser hit for a .308 percentage as SPU out-hit the Crusaders .274 to .162. Paige Hoffman added seven kills and Lindsey Wodrich led the Falcons with 15 digs.
The Crusaders will be back in action on Saturday night, hosting Montana State Billings at 7:00 p.m.
