NAMPA, Idaho - Seniors Cammy Dranginis and Lindsay Grant powered the Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team to a four-set victory over Central Washington University on Thursday night in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match at the Johnson Sports Center.

Dranginis finished with a team-high 18 kills and six blocks and Grant posted 14 kills and 22 digs as the Crusaders improve to 9-5 overall and 2-1 in GNAC play with the 25-20, 24-26, 26-24, 25-15 conference win.

"I was very proud of our effort, especially following Thursday's performance," NNU head coach Jared Sliger commented.  "I thought Eki (Punimata) and Amy (Higginson) did an outstanding job getting our hitters the ball where they could be successful."  Punimata and Higginson combined for 56 assists, with Punimata handing out 29 and Higginson dishing 27.

Four Crusaders reached double-figures in the match, including Becky Flores with 12 and Alaina Barber with 11.  Flores hit a match-best .706 and recorded her 12 kills on only 17 attacks, all without an error.

"I thought Haley (Hevern) was on fire," Sliger added.  "She was like having a fourth blocker in the front row tonight."  Hevern finished with a match-high 32 digs to lead the Crusader defense.

Erin Norris paced the Wildcats (8-5, 0-2 GNAC) with a match-high 21 kills.  Kady Try and Meg Ryan had 12 and 10 kills, respectively, and Brandie Vea led the CWU defense with 23 digs.

NNU will travel next weekend to Saint Martin's University and Western Oregon University, with matches on Thursday and Saturday nights starting at 7:00 p.m. PT.
