NAMPA, Idaho - The Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team fell to Seattle Pacific University in five sets on Thursday night in front of 710 fans at the Johnson Sports Center.  It was the home opener for the Crusaders, who played their first 12 matches of the season on the road.

"I was once again very impressed when we can get one-fourth of our student body at our match, but I'm disappointed that we couldn't close out game four for them," commented NNU head coach Jared Sliger.  The Crusaders fell 25-20, 15-25, 25-21, 23-25, 6-15 to move to 1-1 in the GNAC and 8-5 overall.

Seattle Pacific (7-6, 1-0 GNAC) was led by the 22 kill, 13 dig effort of Priscilla Collings and the 19 kill, 18 dig performance of Lindsey Wodrich.  The Falcons forced the fifth set after taking game four 25-23 and then cruised to a 15-6 fifth set win behind four Collings kills.  Amber Johnson also reached double-figures with 13 kills, hitting .591 without an attack error in 22 attempts.
