NAMPA, Idaho -
Brian Barkdoll scored a career-high 33 points to lead the Crusaders, but it wasn't enough as Central Washington University defeated Northwest Nazarene 86-66 on Thursday night at the Johnson Sports Center in Nampa.

Barkdoll finished 13-of-18 from the floor and seven-of-nine from the free throw line to lead the NNU effort, but the Crusaders were just one-of-eight from the three-point line and committed 16 turnovers.

"We cannot continue to turn the ball over at that rate," commented NNU head coach Tim Hills.  "Barkdoll played well and could score on anyone tonight, but we just didn't get enough support from the perimeter."

The Wildcats (14-4, 8-2 GNAC), ranked fourth in this week's NCAA Division II West Region poll,  were led by Brandon Foote with 15 points and Giovonne Woods with 12 points and a game-high seven rebounds.  Jon Clift and Colton Monti each scored 10.

CWU out-rebounded the Crusaders 31-23 and shot 56.1-percent (32-57) from the floor, while the Crusaders shot 51.1-percent (24-47) from the field, but just 12.5-percent from beyond the arc.

NNU (10-10, 2-8 GNAC) will now host NCAA D.II West Region #6 Seattle Pacific on Saturday afternoon, tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. MT in Nampa.
