ST. GEORGE, Utah - Despite a game-high 29 points from
Drew Eisinger, the Northwest Nazarene men's basketball team fell 75-67 at Dixie State College of Utah on Friday night in front of 2,112 fans at the Dixie State Classic.
The Crusaders, who suffered their first loss of the season and are now 3-1, shot only 31.8-percent (21-66) from the floor and just 23.8-percent (5-21) from the three point line. Eisinger finished 7-of-19 from the field and 4-of-10 from the arc, leaving the remainder of the Crusaders to shoot just 1-for-11 from the three point line.
Dixie State (3-1), who avenged a 71-56 loss in Nampa to the Crusaders just one week ago, were led by Tom Whitehead with 19, Andy Palmer with 17, and Jeremiah Barnes with 13. DSC out-rebounded NNU by one (40-39), and shot 46-percent (23-50) from the floor.
NNU will face Dominican (CA) tomorrow afternoon at 5 p.m. Dominican fell to Montana State Billings 82-54 in the classic tournament's opening game.
