LACEY, Wash. - Senior forward Katy McNutt scored twice for the second time this week as the Northwest Nazarene women's soccer team defeated Saint Martin's University 3-0 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match on Saturday afternoon in Lacey.

The Crusaders improve to 6-2-1 overall and 3-1 in GNAC play, while the Saints fall to 1-8-0 overall and 0-4 in GNAC action.

Scoring in 17th and 28th minute, McNutt has increased her NNU career-best scoring total to 38 goals and is fifth all-time in scoring in the GNAC. Both of McNutt's goals on Saturday were unassisted and Marie Smith added the second Crusader tally of the day, a converted penalty kick in the 27th minute, just 36 seconds before McNutt's second goal.

NNU out shot the Saints 15-5 and held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. Crusader keeper Amanda Merrell was forced into just three saves, while SMU's Breanna Klasen and Michelle Donachie combined for seven.

The Crusaders will return to Nampa and host Seattle University at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
