LACEY, Wash. - Cammy Dranginis and Lindsay Forseth combined for 20 of the Crusaders 44 kills as the Northwest Nazarene volleyball team swept past Saint Martin's University 30-21, 30-20, 30-19 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match on Thursday in Lacey.
The Crusaders, now 3-1 in conference play and 9-3 overall, hit .333 in the match and held the winless Saints (0-5 GNAC, 0-14) to a .165 hitting margin.
"It's good to play well on the road," commented NNU head coach Jared Sliger. "This was a quality response after our performance last weekend in Seattle. It was nice to have Lindsay back and we can see her impact on the boxscore."
Shealun Campisi led the Saints with 13 kills, while Angela Smith and Kanoe Kalalau handed out 20 and 11 assists, respectively.
Dranginis led the Crusaders with 11 kills and Forseth had 9 as the duo combined for only two hitting errors in 34 attacks. Allison James set up the assult with 38 assists.
NNU will now face Western Oregon on Saturday night in Monmouth at 7:00 p.m.
