MONMOUTH, Ore.--Katy McNutt scored two twice, helping her Northwest Nazarene team roll to an easy 3-0 win over Western Oregon on Thursday afternoon at the WOU Soccer Field.

The win improves NNU's overall record to 5-2-1 and 2-1 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Western Oregon falls to 0-6-2 on the season and to 0-3 in conference play.

McNutt scored just a little over four minutes into the contest, and then sealed the road victory with a header at 62 minutes. Carlee Stinton pushed the Wolves into a hole early with NNU's second goal at the 13 minute mark on an unassisted shot that caroomed off the right cross bar and found the back of the net.

Amanda Peters had the shutout in the goal for the Crusaders, tallying eight saves on the day. Western Oregon actually out-shot their visitors 11-8 overall and 8-7 on goal.

Western Oregon will next face No. 6 nationally ranked Seattle Pacific on Saturday afternoon (1 pm) at the WOU Soccer Field.
