Falcons knock off Crusaders in Seattle

SEATTLE (Sept. 15) – Back to back service aces by Alyssa Given to close out the fifth game solidified the win for Seattle Pacific as they took down Great Northwest Athletic Conference Co-Leaders Northwest Nazarene 28-30, 30-23, 30-23, 26-30, 15-9 at Brougham Pavilion.

Cammy Dranginis led the charge for the Crusaders with 16 kills with a match leading .464 hitting percentage. As a team, NNU out hit SPU .142 to .128, but in the fifth game SPU out-hit NNU .211 to -.077.

The loss takes the Crusaders to 2-1 in the GNAC and 8-3 overall, while SPU improves to 2-1 in league play and 7-4 overall.

The Crusaders will continue an extended road swing next week when they travel to Saint Martin's and Western Oregon.
