| By:

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The Northwest Nazarene volleyball team fell 25-30, 21-30, 28-30 at Western Washington University on Thursday night in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match in Bellingham.

The Crusaders, now 10-6 overall and 4-4 in GNAC play, were led by Lindsay Forseth and Chelsea Pelton who each had 10 kills.

"Lindsay and Chelsea really played well tonight, despite the result of the match," commented NNU head coach Jared Sliger.  "It's great having Lindsay back at full force."

Allison James led the NNU defense with 14 digs in addition to her 29 assists and Kristy Wigren added 10 digs.

"Wigren gave us a big lift in game three," Sliger added.  "She was the biggest difference in the holding the lead for so long in the final game."

Emily Castro led the Vikings (11-4, 7-1 GNAC) with 12 kills and Tiana Roma added 11 as WWU maintained their spot on top of the GNAC standings.  Courtney Schneider led all defensive players with 22 digs.

The Crusaders will now travel to Ellensburg to face Central Washington on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. in a GNAC counter.
