Scott Flemming

Introduced as the Crusaders head coach in May of 2015, Flemming brings a variety of coaching success with him to the Johnson Sports Center and the NNU campus as he begins his 3rd season leading the Crusaders in the 2017-18 academic year.

A 1980 graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio), Flemming emassed 440 career collegiate coaching wins as the head man at NCAA Division II Nyack College (N.Y.) and at his alma mater. Flemming was twice named National Coach of the Year at Mount Vernon Nazarene, led the Cougars to the NAIA National Tournament eight times and won the NCCAA National Championships in 2000.

Following a hugely successful career at the collegiate level — which included serving as Athletic Director at both Nyack and Mount Vernon Nazarene — Flemming spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the NBA D-League Texas Legends, the minor-league affiliate of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks.

Most recently, Flemming led the India National Men's Basketball team for the last three years as head coach, guiding the team team to the South Asia Championship in 2013 and 2014, and to the biggest victory in India basketball history, a 65-58 win over China in the 2014 FIBA Asia Cup.
