Northwest Nazarene University Athletics

Quentin Williams enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Northwest Nazarene University men's basketball program.

Williams joins the Nighthawks after a highly successful high school coaching career in Ohio. During four seasons as the head coach at Fairfield Local High School, he compiled an outstanding 83-18 overall record while leading the program to three SHAC championships, two district championships, multiple regional tournament appearances, and an undefeated regular season in 2022-23.

Under his leadership, Fairfield achieved numerous firsts in program history and established itself as one of the premier small-school programs in the state. Williams also won his first 39 regular-season games as a head coach and earned SHAC Coach of the Year honors along with being a 3x District 14 Coach of the Year.

Prior to becoming a head coach, Williams spent four seasons as a varsity assistant coach, helping establish a winning culture that produced sustained success. During that span, the program won a SHAC league championship and advanced to four district championship games, finishing as district runner-up on four occasions.

In addition to his scholastic coaching success, Williams has extensive experience in grassroots basketball through his work with Midwest Basketball Club and All Ohio. Williams is also the founder of Made Di11erent Basketball, a faith-based player development and mentorship program dedicated to helping athletes maximize their potential on the court while growing as leaders, teammates, and followers of Christ.

A former standout player, Williams was a two-time All-Ohio selection during his high school career.  He ended his career top 5 in scoring, top 3 in assists, and 1^st in steals at Fairfield Local High School before continuing his playing career at Ohio University Chillicothe (NAIA). There he earned All-Conference honors twice, scoring 950 points in 3 seasons and leading the team in assists all 3 years.  

Quentin and his wife Haley, who is a High School Social Studies teacher, reside in Nampa.
