Coach Effenberger begins her 2nd season with the Crusaders in the 2017-18 academic year.
Originally from Ketchikan, Alaska, Effenberger started her playing career at Angelo State University where she became a medical redshirt for the 2010-11 season. Â Because of injury complications, she continued her career the 2012-13 season at Clackamas Community College in the NWAC conference. Â After two season with the Pioneers, Effenberger holds the 3-point record at Clackamas, as well as, the NWAC tournament single game and tournament scoring records.
Effenberger continued her playing career at California State East Bay for two seasons where she led Pioneers to their first-ever CCAA title, and first-ever NCAA appearance. Â She is the current Cal State East Bay single season 3-point record holder and ranks in the top 5 in the CCAA for assists, steals, 3-pointers, and assist-to-turnover ratio. Â Effenberger was named to the All-CCAA First Team as a senior, and was named the 2016 Trajan Langdon Award winner by the State of Alaska Sports Hall of Fame.
Effenberger received her Bachelors degree in sociology from Cal State East Bay in June of 2016.
