Why NNU?: I chose NNU for the loving relationships that are evident all throughout campus. From the personal relationships that I have built with my professors and coaches, to the campus barista knowing exactly what I am going to order before I even walk up to the counter, this school is a home away from home. I know that by choosing NNU I will be prepared for anything the adventure of life will throw my way.
About Coach Wagner: It has been quite an adventure playing for Wags the last three years. Over this time we have built a strong relationship — he has been there for my highest of highs after a great game, along with my lowest lows sitting in the emergency room together for hours. I am so thankful for him and all that he has taught me — not only to become a better player than when I started here at NNU, but to help me make my dreams of coaching softball one day a reality. With his hard work, along with the hard work of Coach Joel, I know I will leave this program at a much higher level than I ever could have imagined for myself, and for that I thank them both, it has truly been an honor to play for them these last few years.
Describe Coach Wagner in five words or less: He’ll always have my back.
If I wasn’t playing softball, I’d be: Probably going to school in Oregon, with a part time job.
What’s the best part about playing softball at NNU: The lifelong friendships you make with the girls and coaches, and we cannot forget the awesome bus rides!
Favorite food: My mom’s mashed potatoes.
Favorite Movie: 10 Things I Hate About You.
Favorite thing to do other than play softball: Be with the ones I love.
Pre-game routine/superstitions: I always have to have a Twix Bar and a Red Gatorade on game days — you don’t mess with a routine.
Favorite Life Moment: One of my top 5 favorite moments in life was meeting my favorite actor, Aaron Paul, and taking a selfie with him, all while at my favorite artist, Ellie Goulding’s concert. It was an unforgettable night!
