FAQ for NNU ATHLETICS CAMPS REGARDING COVID-19

Question: Who is allowed on the NNU athletic facilities during camps?
Answer: Camps are not open to the general public. Each camp is different, but all will follow the policies and protocols of Southwest District Health, Idaho Rebounds COVID-19 Plan, and Northwest Nazarene University. Each camp director will let campers and camper families will let you know if the camp has received approval for additional spectators and will coordinate all visitors.
Question: What are the Hours of Operation for the Johnson Sports Center (JSC)?
Answer:
Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday & Holidays: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Question: How will the JSC be cleaned and with what frequency?
Answer: NNU has contracted with Sodexo (a professional cleaning service) to clean the general facility areas on at least a daily basis. Depending on camps and facility usage, additional cleaning will be provided by Sodexo.
Question: Will I have my temperature taken upon entering the Athletic Facilities?
Answer: No, but everyone entering the JSC will be screened on a daily basis and are expected to follow safe social distancing guidelines.
Question: Who should I notify if I develop symptoms within two days following being at an NNU Athletics camp?
Answer: If you are a camper, please contact the head coach or Athletics office at 208-467-8505.
Question: Will I have access to restrooms during camps?
Answer: For indoor camps in the JSC, the restrooms will be available to all campers. For outdoor camps, there will be porta-potties available.
Question: Will there be water available for water bottles?
Answer: Each camp is different. Those taking place in the gym will have water available, others will not. Please check each camp website for specific information.
Question: Will I be required to wear a face covering in the NNU Athletic Facilities?
Answer: According to our medical professionals, those that are participating in sports activities are not required to wear a facemask. Family members visiting the camps will be required to wear a face covering per campus guidelines.
Question: If a camper feels ill, what should he/she do?
Answer: Please immediately contact a coach or leader. There will be a designated area available for any camper that is sick or exhibiting signs or symptoms of illness.
Question: Where should I go if I think I’m getting or have recently gotten sick from COVID-19?
Answer: Please contact your personal provider first. If you do not have one, please go to the hospital or check with the NNU Wellness Center.
