BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Northwest Nazarene's men's golf team traveled to Bellingham, Washington for the Western Washington Invite. The event ended prematurely due to heavy rains over night that made the course unplayable for the third and final round.

The Nighthawks finished in seventh place through 36 holes and here led by Kasey Gaff who finished in ninth place ahead of Chico State's Vineet Vallamsetty.

JJ Brigowatz finished the first round leading the pack for NNU after shooting a 71 (-1) while Gaff followed behind with a 73 (+1). Brigowatz had a solid opening round recording a birdie on the opening hole and four more on holes six, 11, 14, and 16. Gaff birdied the first three holes before tallying two bogeys and a double bogey. He turned it around in the second round, shooting a 67 (-5) with five birdies on hole one, four, six, nine, and 16 en route to a ninth place finish.

Dylan Christensen came in second for the Nighthawks in the second round, shooting a 70 (-2) which included three straight birding on hole nine, 10, and 11

Gaff's 67 in the second round was tied for the lead in that round with Colorado Christian's Bradley Mulder, Western Washington's Daniel Balnkenburg, and Saint Martin's Rasmus Tamker. WWU's Bradley Mulder won the individual championship after shooting -10 over two rounds.
