NAMPA, Idaho – The NNU home crowd showed out as the Nighthawks put together some standout performances at the NNU Invitational at West Park this morning.

The Stockett brothers took control of the men's race from start to finish, finishing just .01 seconds apart as they crossed the finish line side by side. Luke Stockett came away with the individual win in 24:42.6, with Ian Stockett right behind him in 24:42.7.

Freshman Emmitt Warren competed in his first collegiate meet and ran his way to a sixth-place finish in 25:11. Micah Chi finished 23rd in 26:01, and Christian Gump rounded out NNU's top five in 31st at 26:17.

The women also put together a strong performance, led by Hazel Kunkel with a 2nd finish in 22:19. Cameron Moore followed in 6th at 22:29, and Zoey Stauffer finished 10th in 22:32.

Mckenna Lechner finished 19th in 23:00, and freshman June Nemrow rounded out the Nighthawks' top five in 22nd with a new 6K personal best of 23:09.

The NNU men finished second as a team with 53 points, while the women finished third with 56 points. With several strong performances across both teams, the Nighthawks gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about. NNU will return to action on September 26th at the Mike Johnson Classic in Monmouth, Oregon.
