NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene men's soccer led the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with 17 student-athletes named to the 2026 Academic All-GNAC Team, announced by the conference Wednesday.

The Nighthawks' 17 selections were the most of any program in the conference, with six NNU student-athletes earning repeat honors.

Senior Alex Barragan led the way as a three-time Academic All-GNAC selection. Barragan, an exercise science major from Nampa, carries a 3.78 cumulative GPA and was one of just seven men's soccer student-athletes across the conference to earn the honor for the third time.

Austin Carmack, Xavier Hutsko, Maddox Marcelli, Dylan Roslauski, Abdullahi Sharif and Gerardo Fonte also earned Academic All-GNAC recognition after being selected in 2025.

Roslauski posted the highest GPA among NNU's honorees with a 3.92 cumulative mark as a biology major. Elijah Brockl followed with a 3.85 GPA in chemistry, while Hutsko carries a 3.81 GPA in pre-counseling.

To qualify for Academic All-GNAC honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20, be in at least their second season competing for their team and have competed on the field during the 2026 season.
