PORTLAND, Ore. - The GNAC Released the weekly award winners for Feb. 3-9 on Monday afternoon, with Northwest Nazarene softball's
Miah Lusk earning the GNAC Pitcher of the Week honor for the second week in a row to open the 2025 season.
Lusk was outstanding on the way to her second straight weekly award, leading all GNAC pitchers with an ERA of 1.75, an opposing batting average of .172 and 15 strikeouts in 16 innings pitched.
The freshman right-hander picked up her third save of the year in NNU's 4-1 win over Biola, tossing 4 2/3 shutout innings of relief and limiting her opponent to just two baserunners. Lusk then matched her season best with eight strikeouts across 4 1/3 innings while allowing just one run in a 4-1 loss to Concordia-Irvine. Across the first eight appearances of her career Lusk holds a 1.59 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 26 1/3 innings pitched.
Lusk and the Nighthawks will head back down to California later this week for the Tournament of Champions in Turlock, playing five games from Thursday to Saturday.
