ALEMEDA, Calif. – Northwest Nazarene men's golf placed 14
th of 17 teams at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout on Monday and Tuesday.
The Nighthawks were once again led by
Grayson Giboney who tied for 34
th as an individual. Giboney shot rounds of 77, 65, and 76 for a total of 218. His second round in which he shot -7, was tied for the lowest round in NNU history. The historic round consisted of five birdies and one eagle.
Cole Evarts shot a +4 for the Nighthawks and tied for 39th with rounds of 71, 75, and 74. Evarts had nine birdies during the tournament and tied for the top 10, shooting even on par 4s.
Colton Sisk tied for 60
th after shooting +10 on the weekend.
Kasey Gaff and Ben Mulder rounded out the scoring for NNU, finishing +15 and +23 respectively.
The men's next competition is a dual against the College of Idaho on March 19
th.
