Northwest Nazarene women's basketball head coach
Steve Steele has announced the addition of Shawnacee Davis to the Nighthawks program heading into the 2022-23 year.
Davis is a 5'9" combo guard from Tacoma, Washington. She attended Curtis High School in Tacoma before playing the 2021-22 season at Centralia College last year.
"Shawnacee is an athletic, versatile guard who will be a great fit to our system and culture right away," said Steele. "She is mature, hard-working, and her teammates love her. She is great in the classroom, the locker room, and our fans will love to see her flying around on our press. We are very excited to add her to the Nighthawks family."
In the one season at Centralia, Davis made 19 starts and appeared in 20 games, finishing second on the team with 11.0 points per game. She scored in double figures in 13 of the 20 games, including a season-high 20 against Highline College on Feb. 12. She also averaged 2.9 assists per game and 1.6 steals per game.Â
"NNU made me feel like God was pushing me into purpose," said Davis. "I am so grateful to be joining such an already amazing team and to be in a place that's going to help better me every day."
