NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene women's basketball fell short of a win against Cal State East Bay on Saturday night by a score of 73-66.
How it Happened
The Nighthawks were outscored in the first quarter 20-13. A positive from the first half was four Nighthawk steals, three of which were by
Jordan Pinson.
Just two and a half minutes into the second quarter, NNU found themselves down by 14. The Nighthawks started heating up and went on a 12-0 run. NNU shot just over 47 percent in the second quarter but trailed 34-32 at the end of the first half.
Both teams scored 19 in the 3
rd quarter. Nine of the Nighthawks' points came from Pinson.
The fourth quarter started tight, but CSEB began to pull away. NNU tied the game up at 53-53 with a layup from
Shawnacee Davis. The Pioneers reclaimed the lead and never gave it up again. The game concluded with a final score of 73-66 in favor of the Pioneers.

The Nighthawks will head to Salt Lake City to compete in the Westminster Tournament. Their first game of the tournament will be against Westminster College.
