CALDWELL, Idaho - Tyler Shea took first individually and Northwest Nazarene men's cross country finished second as a team as they opened their 2020-21 season at the College of Idaho Ice Chipper in Caldwell's Mallard Park.

Shea finished with a time of 19:26.46 in the 6K race, nearly 20 seconds faster than the second-place finisher from C of I.

NNU's top five scored first, fourth, fifth, 10th, and 17th to finish with 37 points, placing second behind C of I's 26 total points.

Dylan Tidwell was the fourth-place finisher in 20:13.21, with Treyson Conley right behind him in fifth at 20:22.16. Chandler Emerson finished 10th with a mark of 20:48.57, and Chris Connelly wrapped up the top five for the Nighthawks with a time of 22:43.95.

Norman Kosgei and David Goretoy also competed for NNU in the Nighthawks' first meet since the fall of 2019.
