NAMPA, Idaho – Northwest Nazarene senior Bethany Danner was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country team announced recently.

Danner was one of six female athletes from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference named to the District 8 team.

The awards, which are voted on by Sports Information Directors from around the country, are divided into eight districts. District 8 features schools from the GNAC, the PacWest and the California Collegiate Conference.

Danner earned a 4.00 grade point average, while majoring in Mathematics. She helped lead the Nighthawks women's cross country team to its first NCAA Division II national championships appearance and a second-place team finish at the regional championships.
