AUSTIN, Texas -- Northwest Nazarene senior Bethany Danner was named to the 2019-20 Academic All-America Division II Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Second Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Wednesday.

Danner, who helped lead the Nighthawks to their first NCAA Division II National Cross Country Championships in the fall, had a 4.0 grade point average while majoring in Mathematics.

She is one of seven Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's athletes to make the three teams.

Pittsburg State junior Haven Lander was named the Member of the Year for Division II.
