NAMPA, Idaho - The Northwest Nazarene Athletics Department announced Monday the launch of the #NNULiftOff campaign that will culminate on December 31, 2020.
The focus of this campaign is to raise money and awareness to assist Nighthawks Athletics with the additional financial stresses brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"If there was ever a year to consider giving to NNU Athletics, we ask that you consider it this year," said John Galloway, Assistant Athletic Director for Sales and Development. "Revenue that typically comes in from games has been greatly diminished and many of our wonderful sponsors are not in a position to give at the same levels they have in years past.
"The great news is we have a record number of student-athletes on our team rosters, but with the additional costs associated with COVID-19, NNU Athletics is having to find new sources of revenue that will enable us to still provide an exceptional NCAA Division II experience for our student-athletes."Â
During this year-end campaign, NNU Athletics is hoping to raise $75,000. Every dollar given will be used to cover costs associated with running the athletic department and ensuring our student-athletes are receiving the physical and emotional resources they need to succeed, both on and off the playing field.

"We are incredibly grateful for all the ways our NNU Athletics family continues to invest in our student-athletes," NNU athletic director Kelli Lindley said. "Despite the challenges, I am blown away by the many ways I have seen our community rally around NNU and live into our mission. I am excited to see how this campaign unfolds and where NNU Athletics goes in the future."
