CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Northwest Nazarene women's basketball team lost 95-58 to Oregon State on Saturday in an exhibition game.
Facing the NCAA Division I Beavers, the Nighthawks were in the game throughout the first quarter but eventually OSU ran away with the game.
"They are just really good," NNU coach
Steve Steele said. "They are so long at every position. Even when we played really good defense, they'd still score.
"It was fun. A great atmosphere. We learned a lot today and that is hopefully going to make us better. It was a really great experience."
Raquel Jardine had 17 points and
Maya Rodgers had 16. No other stats were provided.
NNU, who was picked to win the Great Northwest Athletic Conference title in the preseason coaches poll, opens its season at 5:30 p.m. Friday against Stanislaus State at home.
