NAMPA, Idaho — The Crusaders are ready to "Play4Kay".
For the second straight season, the Northwest Nazarene women's basketball team is joining the fight against breast cancer by hosting a special event to benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
On Valentine's Day — Saturday, February 14 — the Crusaders will "Play4Kay" when they host Montana State Billings at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Sports Center on the NNU campus.
There will be a special silent auction to raise funds for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
The auction begins Thursday, Feb. 12, when the Crusaders host Seattle Pacific at 6 p.m. Bidding will remain open until the end of Saturday afternoon's game against MSU Billings.
Silent auction items range from cooking items to Crusader souvenirs and gear.
Also, fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game, and there will be pink ribbons available for a $1 donation.
St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute will be on-hand Saturday afternoon to education people about breast cancer and with information on screenings.
So come out, support your Crusaders on the court and join them in the fight against breast cancer.
