Box Score NAMPA, Idaho — So far this season, it's been a happy homecoming for Boise High School graduate Erik Anderson.

The transfer from NCAA Division I Wright State has been a prolific part of the Northwest Nazarene men's soccer team, scoring five goals this season, including three last week, which earned the junior forward Great Northwest Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for men's soccer.

Anderson, who leads the GNAC in goals (5) and in points (12), scored a pair of goals Tuesday in NNU's 3-1 victory in Salt Lake City, Utah, against Dixie State (Utah), including the game-winner.

The junior forward then added his third game-winning goal of the season, scoring in the 12th minute of the Crusaders' 2-0 victory over visiting Montana State Billings on Saturday in the GNAC opener for both teams.

Anderson and the NNU men's soccer team (4-1-0 overall, 1-0-0 GNAC), which has won three straight, now hits the road for conference games at Western Washington on Thursday and at No. 17-ranked Simon Fraser on Saturday.
