NAMPA, Idaho - Northwest Nazarene senior Megan Hingston finished with a 20 point, 11 rebound double-double, but it wasn't enough as Western Washington University defeated the Crusaders 94-81 tonight at the Johnson Sports Center in Nampa.

While Hingston led the Crusaders in both scoring and rebounding, Chelsie Luke added 19 and Leslie Warwick had 10.  The Crusaders fall to 12-8 overall and 5-7 in conference play with the loss.

The Vikings (12-8, 8-4 GNAC) were led by Katie Colard who poured in eight three-pointers and scored a game-high 26 points.  Five Vikings reached double-figures as Tia Briggs and Sydney Donaldson each scored 12 and Taylor Peacocke and Kiana Gandy each had 10.

"We came out hesitant in the first half and against a team of that caliber you just can't afford to do that," commented NNU head coach Ryan Bragdon.  "To their credit...they (WWU) had players who stepped up in the second half and made shots when they needed to."

WWU out-rebounded NNU 37 to 32, led by Sarah Hill who matched NNU's Hingston with a game-high 11.  The Vikings shot 50.7-percent (34-67) from the field and 46.4-percent (13-28) from the three-point line.

The Crusaders finished 27 of 60 from the floor (45-percent) and 5 of 14 (35.7-percent) from the arc.

NNU will return to the hardwood on Saturday night when they host Simon Fraser University.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
