Crusaders grab first win ever at Seattle Pacific, 75-67

SEATTLE - Megan Hingston scored 20 points to lead the Northwest Nazarene women's basketball team to a 75-67 victory over Seattle Pacific University tonight in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game at Brougham Pavilion in Seattle.

The win was the first-ever NNU women's basketball victory at SPU after 15 previous attempts dating back to the 1995-96 season.  The Crusaders improve to 13-10 overall, 6-9 in GNAC play, while SPU falls to 15-7 overall and 8-6 in league action.

Chelsie Luke and Kayla Schumann joined Hingston in double-figures with 16 and 15, respectively.

Katie Benson led the Falcons with a game high 25 points and eight rebounds.  Suzanna Ohlsen chipped in 16.

The Crusaders will return to home action next weekend, hosting Central Washington University on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Johnson Sports Center in Nampa.
