SEATTLE, Wash. – Fredy Razo scored his fifth goal of the season and freshman goalie Ryan Foo made nine saves for the Northwest Nazarene men's soccer team, which settled for a 1-1 draw at Seattle Pacific in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action Thursday.

"It's hard to say we are disappointed to leave a place like SPU with a draw but considering how dominant we were over the final 40 minutes of that game and how unlucky we have been with results so far, I can honestly say we are disappointed not to win," NNU coach Coe Michaelson said.

Razo scored on a penalty kick with just 2 minutes, 25 seconds gone on the game-clock, giving the visiting Crusaders (0-3-3 overall, 0-2-1 GNAC) an early advantage.

It didn't last long, though, as Blaine Carver put home a rebound past Foo in the 11th minute, tying the score 1-1.

Outshout 11-1 in the opening half, Foo made five of his saves in the first 45 minutes to keep the game knotted at 1-1.

Then the Crusaders slowly began taking control, outshooting the 15-12 the rest of the game, including a 5-1 edge in the final 10-minute overtime session.

"A big focus going forward has to be playing at that level for 90 minutes," Michaelson said, "playing complete games."

Cody Lang made seven saves for Seattle Pacific Falcons (4-1-1, 20-1) to spoil the Crusaders hopes of a road win.

"Today was a game where both teams needed their goalkeeper to make some big saves," Michaelson said.

Now having grabbed their first point of the GNAC season, NNU looks for its first win when it travels to St. Martin's on Saturday for its next game.
