OREGON CITY, Ore. – Northwest Nazarene University head men's basketball coach
Dave Daniels was inducted into the Clackamas Community College (CCC) Hall of Fame on Saturday night.
"I felt very honored! I was un-recruited out of high school and Coach Kiser gave me an opportunity,” said Daniels. “My two years at Clackamas opened the door to the rest of my career for which I am forever grateful!"
During his time at CCC, Daniels was a two-time Southern Region All-League player. In 1990, he was an instrumental part in leading the Cougars to the Southern Region Championship with a 13-1 record.
Daniels then earned a scholarship to play at Colorado Christian University (CCU), where he was a two-time Colorado Athletic Conference All-League Player during the 1991-93 seasons. He was the Colorado Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player in 1993.
After his career at CCU, he was a member of the Canadian National Team that took part in the FIBA World Championships in 1998. In 2000, Daniels played for the Canadian Olympic Team in Sydney, Australia where the team finished 7
th.
During 1993-99, Daniels played professionally for 7 years, including stints in the NBA Summer League, CBA, and “Athletes in Action”. He was inducted into the Colorado Christian University Hall of Fame in 2004. Daniels returned to his alma mater and was Head Men's Basketball Coach at Colorado Christian University, where he lead CCU to four Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Tournament births, reached the RMAC Final Four three times, and had a 3
rd place finish at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament.
