Wolves Earn Two Over Crusaders

MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Wolves of Western Oregon University took a two-game series from Northwest Nazarene University in today's Great Northwest Athletic Conference action in Monmouth, Oregon. Western Oregon won game one 8-1 and took game two 5-0. 
 
The Wolves (25-24, 14-8 GNAC) who are currently No. 2 in the GNAC race had nine hits in each game with a homerun in each game to help get by the Crusaders. 
 
Lexi Orteza led WOU at the plate, going 4 for 7 on the day. Amanda Evola was 3 for 3 in game two with 4 RBI's.
 
Kendra Day was a combined 3 for 5 for the Crusaders. NNU had a total of 6 hits in today's double-header.
 
Noelle Wright received both losses in the circle for the Crusaders after pitching all 12 innings.
 
The Crusaders (5-37, 0-22 GNAC) will travel to Lacey, Washington tomorrow for their season finale to face conference-leading Saint Martin's University in a double-header beginning at noon.
