NAMPA, Idaho – The Simon Fraser University softball team took two Great Northwest Athletic Conference wins from Northwest Nazarene University today at Halle Field in Nampa, Idaho. The Clan won 4-1 and 6-0.
In game one, the Clan (15-13,11-3 GNAC) were able to get on the board in the first inning of play, going up 2-0. SFU brought in one run in both the second and third innings. Lauren Kolanko led the Clan at plate going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's.
Baylee Jolliffe and Brianna Weller each had one hit for the Crusaders.
Cara Lukawesky threw a two-hit shutout in game two for Simon Fraser. Trisha Bouchard had 2 hits and 2 RBI's for the Clan.
Jolliffe and
Kira Varady had the Crusaders two hits in today's final game.
Noelle Wright took the loss in the circle for NNU dropping to 5-21.
The Crusaders fall to 5-26 overall and 0-16 in GNAC action. NNU will now face Western Washington University on Saturday at Halle Field with double-header play beginning at 10:00 a.m.
