Crusaders Drop Two In Ellensburg

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Wildcats of Central Washington grabbed two wins from the Crusaders 8-0 and 3-2 in today's double-header softball action held in Ellensburg, Washington.
 
CWU (9-10, 7-5 GNAC) took game one 8-0 in six innings of play. The Wildcats scored two runs in each of the first three innings and earned two more in the final sixth inning. Remy Bradley went 3 for 3 from the plate and brought in one run for Central.
 
Baylee Jolliffe and Kendra Day both had one hit in the first game.
 
In game two, with a runner on second, Michaela Hazlett of CWU hit a single that brought in the third and winning run to lift the Wildcats past NNU in the final game.
 
Brianna Kinghorn had one hit and brought in one run for NNU. Michelle Crumbaker also had an RBI in the fifth inning.
 
Noelle Wright dropped to 5-19 in the circle for NNU.
 
The Crusaders who are now 5-24 and 0-14 in GNAC action will be back to home play on Thursday when they host Simon Fraser University at 3:00 p.m. at Halle Field in Nampa, Idaho.
